“Stories of the Deep Sea” was a three-person show with Anthony "Weirdeyeone" and Michael Shepard at the Atlantic Highlands Arts Council in New Jersey. For this show I created artwork that explored my intimate relationship with water.

Cyanotype was new to me at the time and seemed to be a perfect fit. To create the images below I made negatives by painting on glass. I exposed these cyanotypes in sunlight.

The images represent everything that the sea is to me. It is a place of refuge, adventure, terror, and mystery. As an avid sea kayaker and swimmer, I have deep respect for the power of water and what lies beneath the surface.
