Artist Biography
Tracy Coon is a visual artist based in New Jersey. Her work spans several mediums, including drawing, painting, printmaking, and mixed media collage. Tracy's line work seeks out the arabesques and tangents along the surface of her subject matter. Her approach ranges from careful studies to blind contour, sometimes with a combination of both. A nature lover, she collects bones, sticks, driftwood, and whatever else catches her eye for a future still life.
Ms. Coon has studied life drawing since she was a teen and remains passionate about drawing the human form. Disillusioned with formal art education, she left the Cleveland Institute of Art after completing two years of foundation studies. She continues her artistic studies independently and enjoys bringing creative people together for salons in her home.
Tracy's artwork has been included in group and collaborative shows. She has received several awards, including an honorable mention at the 2017 New Brunswick Art Salon at Alfa Gallery in New Brunswick.
